Brian K. Coombes, PhD

The Coombes lab develops pre-clinical infection models to study the efficacy of novel antibiotics, chemical combinations, and antibiotic adjuvants discovered in high-throughput screening. They are also addressing the antimicrobial resistance crisis by looking at ways to enhance the effectiveness of innate immunity, and by understanding host-pathogen interactions that dictate infection outcome.
