Dr. Wright talks about “living in a world of emerging microbial resistance” in Indian newspaper The Hindu

 

The 2017 National Action Plan on Antimicrobial Resistance raises concern about drugmakers discarding antibiotic waste into the environment. When expelled antibiotics contaminate soil and water, microbes are given the opportunity to become drug-resistant, which can then result in antimicrobial resistance in human populations.
